my mp3 won't work when i attach it to a USB port!!!!!
though when i attach it... the light lits up and that means it is connected... but then my computer stops working... even if i hook it up on another computer it still won't work... but my mp3 player can still play music... i need help... plz help me!!! :(

look up the brand of mp3 player, find out if there is a driver download on it. Download and install the driver and try again.

oh..u can attach your mp3 port into the computer directly without usb hub, if it's still not work, go to restart your pcs, it may be hang

Urgent? One would think with your opening line that the darned thing was stuck in your throat.
If the urgency is that the band is expecting you to generate the music and they are about to go on, well, sorry, but they need another technician if you can't handle this one.

your computer may not recognize the hardware. right click the start button and click "explore" when your mp3 player is plugged in and see if it shows up in one of the removable hardware slots. it should be there. if its not, look on the company's website and send an email. act really really upset so they get back to you faster.

you have probably got a faulty lead, the wrong driver or a huge conflict with the software and the O.S that you are using
