While the Sharp device you have is a decent Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), it has too few features and has very little memory to allow it to go on the Internet or do other features including e-mail. You may want to consider upgrading to another device, whether from Sharp or Palm.

I would recommend looking at Palm handhelds. They are powerful, yet easy-to-use. There are 3 models of Palm that I would recommend, as follows:

Tungsten C
The Tungsten C was originally released in 2003, and discontinued by Palm in 2005. It is a very powerful, business quality PDA, with built-in keyboard, built-in WiFi to access the Internet (including e-mail) at hotspots or wireless networks, gorgeous screen, and great applications for contacts, calendar, To-Do lists, and create/open/modify Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. This handheld was originally priced at $499. I used it for nearly 2 years, and loved it.

While you can't buy a new unit at stores, you can find new and used Tungsten C's on eBay at http://www.ebay.com for between $150 - $200. If you decide to buy a used one, make sure that there ABSOLUTELY no scratches on the screen, and that all the needed accessories are included.

Palm then released 2 models that you may want to consider as well, as follows:

Tungsten T/X (Retails for $299)

http://www.palm.com/us/products/handhelds/tx/

This unit has all the features as the Tungsten C, but does not include a keyboard. Instead, the screen is substantially larger, and even more defined. It has both WiFi and Bluetooth built-in.

Palm LifeDrive (Retails for about $399)

http://www.palm.com/us/products/mobilemanagers/lifedrive/

I own the LifeDrive. The LifeDrive has all the features that the Tungsten T/X has but it also include a 4GB hard drive for plenty of storage of photos, vidoes, files, even DVD files. I converted about 14 of my DVDs and put them on the LifeDrive (to convert the DVDs you need a special software that costs $25).

The LifeDrive may well be an overkill for your needs, and the Tungsten T/X/ might be as well. If I were you, I would choose between the older Tungsten C or the newer Tungsten T/X. The cost is much higher than your Sharp Organizer, but you will get many more valuable features you will use.
