Everytime I think of this question, The song "If the devil danced in empty pockets" pops into my head. It s a song by Joe Diffie and here's some of the words, "If the devil danced in empty pockets,
he'd have a ball in mine.
With a nine foot grand,
a ten piece band
and a twelve girl chorus line."

Oil IS the devil!! for sure.

it has nothing to do with A president or any one particular administration!

It's that ALL government is tied to the economy! (through taxes)

(better economy=better tax revenues!!!)

SO, you want to know is: Why is oil tied so close to the economy?

And that answer is:

It's the stuff that makes a modernized/ industrialized country thrive!!!

(it's been that way since the 19th century!)

If you wanted to (God forbid) instantly collapse the US, then cut off the oil! You're talking about complete economic meltdown of not just the US but a good chunk of the world economy!!!

It's the stuff that makes a modernized/ industrialized country thrive!!! And it will be that way untill hopefully we'll be shaking a LOT of the oil addiction in the next 10-20 years!! (with a lot of support from gov. funding--including a lot giving by the Bush-43 administration.)

Whether you like him or not: we would probably be in MUCH WORSE shape with oil prices if it wasn't for an administration that did have some big oil ties.

just some food for thought :o)

check out the answer for this question too!

Can you define how the oil industry is tied "heavily" to the government? I believe you have a question that is not based on any facts. Can you give us a few?

Well, the government knows that the wheels of ALL industry and commerce in this country depend on oil.

No oil, no commerce. No commerce, no income. No income, no taxes.

Got it?

It couldn't be because the top three people in the white house were all immersed in the oil biz at one time, could it?

Might have something to do with the fact that our current President owns oil......
