how can i find out who owns a particular house in the UK?

I have the full address - but the house is derelict and i need to contact the owner. Is there somewhere online that i can find this information? (Answers needed for resident of England, UK.)

How about emailing the local rate and property taxation office which covers the area that the house is in.

go to the town council and ask for the electorial register or the local library.If its in the uk and derelict it most probably belongs to the council now anyway,they buy places like this and hold onto them until builders offer a ransom for the land
