Most management would rather work with the "easy-go-luck"; go with the flow with little to no opposition. If you stand up to your management, you may end up being labled a trouble maker, hard to work with, etc... Clearly, management is faulty, but you seem to be basically the only one speaking out. Is it worth standing up, and end up being frowned upon by other?

If you stand up in a professional manner, you may have a future with the company. If you never say or do anything, don't expect to be noticed when a promotion comes around. Just be careful about how you do it as to not step on someone's toes.

You have certain rights in the work place and equally responsibilities. If you are discharging your duties responsibly, there is nothing wrong in standing up. Typically "management" is one level up. So may be you have a bad boss. Try one more level up, and the problem might get solved.

Has it occurred to you that, if you're the only one speaking up, you might be the one who is wrong? As a manager, I can tell you that, if several people speak up, we listen. However, when there is only one person who consistently speaks up and who seems to be performance challenged, the "challenge" is really nothing more than justifying why the individual cannot seem to meet standards in a given area.

before i was mangr myself I had a few problems like that,,,some people don't care too much or they are comfy the way things are,,its hard to say coz i don't know the situation or your line of work, but if it makes it unbearable to go in and do your job, maybe a career change is in your future,,or stick it out and get in the position to be the one makeing decisions..the way to get noticed sometimes is to stick out of the crowd but try to make it a positive one...if you seem more of a whiner then trouble maker is the label u will receive...good luck in your situation,it is tough

The worst thing you can do is to embarrass the boss in front of others. Most employers don't mind be challenged, but they don't like to be attacked no matter what the reason.

It's definitely worth it! Go tell them right now! But the thing is, you gotta prepare and back what you say with facts. And if they don't listen, there's a bunch of other companies who do.

Yup, most managers always have been and always will be brown nosers. That's why so many people with great ideas have to do it on their own. Do you think Bill Gates would have started Microsoft, if IBM would have let him do what he wanted there?

if you stand up to them with good ideas, they will respect you.

the people who become managers are not the go-with-the-flow little fellas. they're the ones with enough balls to make a stand.

you decide if it's worth it to you or not.

It depends on how you approach it. Don't be confrontational. Just tell your boss or whoever that you have some ideas for improvement that you'd like to share.

The saying goes love it or leave it ...... and in today's society jobs are hard to come by. Might as well love it until you can leave!
