If you are not keen on just flying distances by air while on duty, a career in airlines is just like any other sector like banking-finance, marketing, HR, hospitality....

Means to say it has its own pros and cons. The better you perform, the better would be your market value within the airline which employs you and the competition as well.

Airline job opportunities are there in different departments of airlines all over the world including India. In India salaries of Pilots and Engineers and such technical staff are very good but others are not paid well. Your chances are there as a cabin attendant, check-in agent, reservations agent, customer services agent etc. There are vacancies in HR sections also. Ground support department which provides ramp equipments and vehicles for ground handling of the plane also has vacancies of drivers and operators. In an airline the working hours though fixed are always extendable for various reasons. Moreover you may have to work at odd times of the day and night also. If you are interested there are lots of chances.
