Why do some men and I mean..SOME...not all like to beat a woman down and try to take away their Spirit?

degrade them, disrepect them, take away their self-esteem. What satisfaction do they get from doing that? Is it some kind of gratification?

For some men.....it is a result of insecurities within themselves. So they want to control you so you won't leave them. And to control you they have to beat you down.

That's right, self gratification or empowerment if you will. When a man is doing that, he already feels superior over you, when a woman allows him to do this, she's fueling that power even more. Often times a man will do this, followed by sweet nothings to justify perhaps his guilt that he does have deep inside while at the same time keeping his woman holding on tight. Making her believe that "he really is a good man". But, if a woman continues to enable this power he has over her...there will be nothing left of her, resulting in a robotic way of action. That is to say, she'll take it, take it and take it with the feeling of no way out because "deep down he's really a good man and doesn't mean it".

These men are hurt. Old childhood wounds that have not been resolved have put them in a desperate protective state. It's about being in control so that they do not feel hurt again. Some men will go to any extent to prevent this as they are not able to be in touch with their emotions. It's way too scary.

This sort of problem cannot be resolved by you. You must go to counselling together.

You also need counselling to enable yourself to be strong and know that this has nothing to do with you. Once you have been beaten down, it is very difficult to pick yourself up. He knows how to keep you where he wants you.

Emotional beatings are as damaging as physical beatings and if it is too intense, you should consider taking a break from each other. Without a change in patterns it will only get worse. Do not let him threaten or scare you.

Because the same thing has happened to them and someone has to pay so they treat the woman in their life just the way another woman treated them therefor making the woman in his life pay for what women in his past did to him maybe he isnt able to get over it but some are just in search and destroy mode because they dont know how to deal with it and so they want someone else to feel the pain they are in,meaning they are miserable and beaten down by the last woman in their lives no self esteem and no Nutts because they let a woman who could care less about them take all that away from them so they seek revenge by treating the next woman even worse than he was treated and he sees nothing wrong with it because after all it happened to him.

It's not instant gratification. Most men who do this, hate themselves afterwards. It's just that their need for control, in every sense of the word, is so strong that they block out everything else. Most of these men have had rough backgrounds. Most of them have either been abused or have gotten the short end of the stick all their lives. Their ego is bruised, they are angry at the world, their insecurities are over whelming and rather than work out the problem, they'd rather just force it into working. Which leads to the violence.

Insecurities, lack of self esteem, bad parents when they were children... a better question is why doesn't the government have better laws on this issue that is soooo widespread in this country.... and do more to help women get back on there feet, and to protect them, and any children they have with the abuser? You get in more trouble for a speeding ticket or a DUI than beating the person you swore to love.

Yes some men to enjoy degrading and disrespecting their spouses. They feel superior, albeit a false sense of superiority.

By-the-way, no one can take away your self-esteem. Actually no-one can take away anything from you that you do not let go of yourself. Do not allow anyone to gain the upper hand in how you feel about yourself --- your pride & self-esteem far too important to release to some idiot.

I have a better question. Why do some women and I mean...SOME...let a man beat them down to the point of losing themselves in this type of relationship. In today's world women need to realize that they don't need a man to empower them to be someone. If anyone, man or woman, finds themselves in a degrading relationship such as this, there are so many places that you can go to get help and raise your self-esteem.

It's something they grew up with, seeing their mothers get beaten so they grow up thinking it's alright to beat and degrade a woman. Secondly because they do not have any respect for their wives nor for themselves. Thirdly they are cowards who would never fight a man but rather a woman who is weaker than them. Fourthly because they have unresolved issues with their pasts. Fifthly because they are demon possesed. And sixthly because all of them that do that are drunkards that are trying to drown their sorrows but they don't know alcohol justs worsens it all.

because somewhere in their life a man has beaten him and his mom so they think now they can do the same to the lady they are with some are punks and instead of going and beating a man they beat a woman because they know a man strength is more than a woman and some just are plan crazy
