i found that the origin of Halloween has its roots in Noah.

Roshashanah is the Jewish New Year. It's also believed that this is the actual time of the birth of Christ and Noah's flood.

Noah was supposed to have insitituted a yearly memorial of the world flood. It was commemorated yearly for years but its date was moved forward about a month into late October in later years by a king in the region.

I like to commemorate the actual date rather than Halloween but it's a great time to use to evangelize!

By for one of my favorite days of the year excluding holidays and birthdays. Halloween rocks, and I'm a dad now so Halloween has just been injected with some performance enhancing drugs so its better than ever.

I think it's really fun to dress up and get candy with friends, but I don't wear witch costumes or stuff like that.
I'd like to see the world celebrate All Saints Day(the day after Halloween) more.

I think Halloween is a great time for kids to dress up and be silly.
As for the spirit of Halloween I can take it or leave it. Just gives the kids cavities lol.

Since I'm half Irish and the tradition of "All Hallow's Eve" later known as Halloween, BEGAN in Ireland, I love it! And each year we have a traditional Irish celebration on that night, complete with bonfire and wacky homemade costumes.

Hallowe'en is my favourite time of the year. They say it's the new year 4 those who practice magick. According 2 popular belief (I think), Oct. 30 is Devils' Night; Oct. 31 is Hallowe'en, where the undead walk thru the gate 2 Earth (humans dress up as scary monsters 2 fool them); & Nov. 1 is All Saints' Day.

I love Halloween. It gives me the chance to use my creative abilities to decorate our porch and make a nice comfy Harvest scene using squash, bales of hay, corn stalks, pumpkins and lighted candles everywhere. Plus I make a special little festivity out of this time of year by baking Halloween cupcakes, colorful harvest time snacks, and have dishes of candy out for anyone who comes to visit us during the month. (and yes I've always been very careful when displaying candles near flammable objects)

I love the sentiment of it, the cute decorations and candy and the feeling of the fresh, crisp, fall air. What a wonderful time of year! But I am too old to trick-or-treat, but my little sister can so its all good.
