Get a basic figure drawing book from a local hobby store, learn to sketch the simple basic body forms that you need for yourself. It will be far less limiting than having to fit your clothing ideas onto pre-existing figures.
Most fashion design programs at community colleges have a figure and clothing sketching class that one could attend.

Check Barnes and Noble. I heard they have books with plain sketches in them. However, I can't remember the name of the book.
