I bought some frozen crabmeat from the grocery store last night for sushi today. How do I know if it is cooked already? How would I cook it if it is raw?

If it is already cooked then it should say so on the package. Crabmeat is easiest to boil. It should only take a few minutes as it is already in small pieces. When the meat becomes flaky and white it is done. And for all the other people NO the word sushi means the rice and seaweed wrapping not the filling that can be whatever you want. I NEVER eat raw sushi! Yuck. Hope this helps.

If it's not in the shell that means it's as chunks in a container so it means it's cooked. And since sushi is served cold you don't even have to heat it. Just use as it is.

Only some of the fish is uncooked when you make sushi. You have to buy specially processed raw fish for sushi, you can't just get anything raw and eat it and call that sushi. That might screw your stomach and your health bad. So be careful.

It will have red markings on it if it is cooked. More then likely it is because it is very hard to remove the meat from the crab if it has not been. If it is raw you can just throw it in a pot of boiling water if it's still in the shell. Otherwise I would put it in a fry pan with a small amount of olive oil to cook it.

It should say on the package whether it is cooked or not. If you're making sushi, you wouldn't want to cook it, would you?
