Okay, I had some spinach that I bought about a week ago from the President's Choice brand, a 450g box of Organic Field Greens, product of the U.S.A.
Was the spinach that the people who contracted E.Coli from a particular brand? I'm kinda scared 'cause I've been eating a lot of those organic field greens raw... and some days I didn't rinse them cause it said "washed greens" on the box...

Well, it involves only the spinach, and no amount of washing will guarantee it is safe. According to a news article I heard today, the E.Coli are incorporated into the spinach leaves.

They identified the source as a farm in California that farms in an organic way, not using manmade chemicals for fertilizer, but cow waste. It only applies to the spinach, and no other components of the salads in the bags.

On the ABC news tonight (Sunday, 17 Sept.) they said that the tests at the processing plant had all come out negative for e-coli. Likewise none of the spinach bagged or otherwise that has been pulled off the market has shown any contamination.
Some unidentified "government expert" is now saying that the spinach may not have been the source.

I wouldn't be shocked to learn that someone in the meat industry tainted the spinach in order to get people to eat more meat. The meat industry will now probably assert: "If you can't get your iron from spinach, then you must eat beef!" (which is nonsense, but that's besides the point)

The article said brand didn't matter, throw it all away. Also, you can't wash the E. Coli off, its inside the leaves. The plants were fertilized incorrectly.

If you ate it last week you would already be sick. You are OK. It is bagged spinach.
