my periods are only lasting 2-3 days and they are VERY light. What's up????

I gather this is not normal. I would be happy my periods use to be like that for many years even after I had my daughter then I had 3 miscarriages in a row and they became heavy and lasted for 4 to 5 days. I wish I could have the light days back again. BUT if you are uncomfortable then go to your Gyno.

Depending on your age, you could be on the change, going into menopause. Everyone is different, but if this is very unusual for you, and you are not at the menopausal stage, then it could just be an imbalance in your hormones. Your body may be producing too much estrogen, which can affect periods. My wife took a natural hormone which brought her endocrine system back into balance. She did not want to try HRT as there were too many side effects.
I hope this has been of some use. Without knowing more about your age and how your periods have been up until now, it is a bit difficult to say exactly what the cause is.

Mabe this is the way your period is. Everyone is different. Mine lasts 8 days and is light. I know some who have there period 2 days and it is extremely heavy. You are perfectly normal.

Well, that could just be normal for your body. This is especially true if you are very, very thin.
If you are on the pill, then that could be the cause.
You may want to get that checked if this is a new thing (and you're not on the pill) or if you're sexually active. Any sudden changes in period may indicate something is going on, but not necessarily.

Well you are lucky my periods use to last up to 7 days the first three days were the heaviest once i got on birthcontrol i have very light periods only lasting up to three days its wonderful!!! and my cramping isnt as bad as it use to be either..thank you birthcontrol!!!

that is just the way that your body is. I have a 7 day period and it is light, heavy, light.

That is very much natural. Periods last from 2 to 7 days depending on person to person...............

your lucky my daughters are so heavy and lasts weeks and she only gets a couple of weeks between if your really bothered just go she your doctor but it is not something that should worry you unless you think you could be pregnant mine where like this and i was seven months gone before i found out

Are you really stressed out? Have you been eating regularly? I don't know but, sometimes stress & eating habits can have an effect on periods...
