LOTS of variables involved...but generally, anything under 12 is not a good sign, or anything over 20/22.

HAHHAHA!! If someone is "breathing" 70-80 breaths a minute, they aren't breathing,they're PANTING & hypreventalating, & will most likely pass out before too long!

If you think I'm kidding, time your breaths to a second hand on a watch...

Normal respirations are between 12 - 20 per minute for an adult. Children & adolescents ranges are different. The breathing patterns are known as inspiration & expiration (in & out).
