why cant i get in to any tables on canasta? have been trying for two days.?

just came from canasta.this works! turning pop up blocker off does not.
set pop up blocker to always allow games.yahoo.com The easiest way to do this when you try getting in lounge and it doesn't work.click on pop up blocker. always allow tab it will say recent pop ups blocked.high light yahoo.com then click allow.1st thing you do when you get in lounge is check small windows in options box.once
in room expand it to see chat area.you only see half of cards but you can still play.

This is hard to answer because I dont know where you are playing canasta. I play Club Pogo which has a fun canasta game, but you could play elsewhere.

By the sound of your question, I think you're saying that your game wont load? Well, it could be a couple things. For one, your computer saves the information about the game in a file so it can load faster next time. Maybe that file is outdated (because they changed the game a little, even stuff you wouldnt realize) or maybe the file was corrupted (changed in some way and it wont work now). To fix this try opening up your webpage, then at the top click on Tools, then Internet Options....then delete your files (cookies and temporary internet files). Then try again.

If it still doesnt work you might have a problem with the main program that runs your games. For example, all pogo games are run using Java, and sometimes you have to reinstall or get a new version or whatever. Thats a little more complex, but here is a site for EA support on pogo - I searched for loading problems and you'll see there are a number of questions and answers about fixing loading problems.

But if you dont use pogo, or your game site doesnt use Java then these might not be helpful. Every game site should have a 'help' place, with answers to the most common problems, so if my information doesnt help I'd try looking for a 'help' option on your own gamesite. Some sites also have an email address where you can write in about your problem and get help.

As a last resort, try searching around on the internet for other gamesites that offer Canasta. www.pogo.com is great (my favorite!), but there is a regular free pogo OR there is Club Pogo where you pay 30 bucks a year to have access to extra games and to play challenges and win badges. Canasta is one of those special games that only Club Pogo members have access to. I think Club Pogo is totally worth the money, but the good thing is, you can sign up as a regular pogo member then ask in rooms to see if someone will give you a Club Pogo pass (all Club Pogo members have some free 5-day passes to give out to non-members...it allows them to try out Club Pogo and see if its for them.) By getting a guest pass you can try out our Canasta and see if you like it.

In any case, I'm sure there are tons of sites out there that offer Canasta so if you cant get your current one working I'd check them out.

Solution : After you have chosen the room you want to play in and before you select a table or create a table, go to OPTIONS. Place a check mark in the box that says 'SMALL WINDOWS'. Click on 'DONE'. Now when you pick a table or create a table to play in you should be successful.
