The length of the course is minor compare with what you will become once you have that degree. Ultimately choose what you like to work as for the next 10-30 odd years.

To become a psychologist may take an awfully long time but if it is what you enjoy doing then go for it!
you may want to do part time study during your third and fourth year and work full time. Or you may like to defer your master study for a year after completing your undergrad.
I strongly recommend you look at this website (http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos056.htm) before you decide to be a psychologist coz an alarming number of students will drop out of this course. It can be a very difficult course. At times it is incredibly dull, complicated and specific course. (Plus your lecturers will be doctors who suffer from major constipations). If you decide to do a psychology major, do a bachelor of science not a bachelor of art coz the science students will ALWAYS be looked upon highly. They have much stronger research and analytical skills.

As for Bus administration, it is very similar to a MBA course.

One of my lecturer from the USA did a research for his Masters on the usefulness of an MBA degree. He told me this:

(1) MBA is a very very general degree. It fails to meet the needs of specific fields. it's only useful if you want to be the CEO/ senior management of a big company. It is only useful if you plan to manage something very general.

(2) too many people have MBAs so it is no longer valuable

(3) Having appropriate working experiences is significantly more valuable than an MBA

Honestly speaking, a business degree is very very general and an awful number of people have it (coz almost any hack can get into a business course). So unless you are certain of which specific field you wish you enter (e.g. wine industry, biogenetics) then you are pretty much a face in the crowd. If you do have something in mind, then i highly recommend doing an accounting major that can get you a CA (Chartered Accontant) or CPA accredations. Why accounting?? It is because money$$$ is everything in a business. About 70% of small business failed in its first year mostly due to poor financial planning or inadequate knowledge. You need to be able to manage your cash flow, calculate and report your profit, deal with the commercial law of operating a business, avoiding certain taxes, audit (check) your accounts, negotiate with clients (many clients will attempt to cheat or exploit you through numbers so if you don't have the number knowledge you are close to being a dead duck.)
If you decide to do an accounting major, do a FULL accounting course that will allow you to gain a CA (Chartered Accountants) (http://www.icaa.org.uk) and CPA. Alot of the courses i've seen that offered accounting majors are half baked goods that you might as well not study anything. go to http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos001.htm.... it will tell you the type of knowledge that you will acquire (at least generally) when you take on a full accounting degree.

A finance major is good too if you wish to be a stock broker/ financial planner/ financial person. An economics major is good if you want to work for the government as an economist/policy maker. However a finance and economics major student must have strong mathematics skills as the financial world only caters for the most talented people. It’s a very cruel industry where only the best will survive. It’s a stressful to very stressful environment to work in and often you have to work long hours. The good point to this industry is that the pay is obscene; the sky is the limit and as a fresh graduate you could make a six figure salary. So if working a stressful environment is not your cup of tea, you could work in this industry during your young years, save up some $$ and put some in secure investments then pursue a decent earning career that you love.

The rest of the business majors are bullocks coz many employers in UK, USA, Aust value experience over a university certificate. However some employers would want you to get that piece of shiit paper in order to hold a senior position. If you choose to do a business major, choose a university that has a good reputation for providing business degrees as the business community are picky about which university you came from.

As for political science, you may wish to have a look at this: http://www.bls.gov/search/ooh.asp?qu=political+science&ct=OOH
As I am not well equipped to give you any infor.

Talk to people around you who work in the industries you wish to pursue and where possible gain work or volunteer experience in that field. It is the best way you will know which field to enter.

What I’ve told you today is based on speaking to many people accumulatively who are in these professions. However my perception and their perceptions are bias. You should developed your own bias perception :).

Ultimately choose what you love to do but make sure that career will earn you a decent buck$$ and has a good future employment rate.

Since it looks like you do not want to get an Master's degree, business administration would be the best way to go. You can get a good job without a grad degree. You can do the same in political science, but the jobs do not pay as well and you are much better off with an advanced degree.

Hope this helps.

Had you mentioned your aspirations or choices that you would like to do as the one or rated them on scale of five, then it would have helped.Taking from the ones that you have mentioned as your choice on a scale of five, physcohology has good prospects
well as you say it really helps if you do your PG in the said course. As regards job prospects in this field comparing to business administration it is good as compared to political science it is better. Now MBA , it is the best choice you can make.As regards job prospects it is better compared to physcohology and excellent as compared to political science. If you still have any doubts please post the question again on this forum with correct and precise details.
