this sounds like a ball joint making the sound,,that's how they sound when they go bad,,it may also be a shock bushing bad on it,,the shocks may still be good on it,,but very often the bushing will wear out,,and this makes a clunking sound on it,,the only other thing that could do it is a tie rod end,,i own a repair shop,,and these newer vehicles can really fool you when it comes to making weird sounds,,and sometimes there really hard to find,,you might want to check the things i mentioned,,and if you don't find it,,you can take it to a shop,,and let someone check it out,,they might be able to tell you exactly what it is wrong with it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Check the shock absorber mounting first. You probably need new shocks. OR buy something OTHER than a ford Exploder. Or a Ford for that matter.

examine the balljoint. Oh, you probably did checked the balljoint. you want a sparkling balljoint. ----- examine to be sure if there is quite some rust on the celeb on the spot that helps that wheel. I once said a truck like yours detach faraway from the rear axle even as it develop into being pushed as a results of untreated rust.

I would start looking at the shocks first and look at the ball joints and also the A-arm bushings for wear.
