Why are people afreaid of Muslims just because their holy book says stuff like, "Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate."?

And what's so bad about the concept that "Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient."?

After all, you read all the time in the news about Protestant suicide bombings...and Buddists kidnapping and beheading people.... and all of the Jewish Orthodox riots around the world... and Catholics calling for Holy War when someone insults the Pope...

...well, maybe you don't, but I'm sure you would if it ever happened . The point is, I think Islam is being unfairly singled out for abuse. Just because they want to slay unbelievers and call for the deaths oif Americans, that's no reason to be afraid of them. It's probably the Jews' fault, anyway.

Locutus: I know, and what's so funny is, they can say stuff exactly like that and not even blink.

Faerie: I'm not generalizing. Okay, I'll tell you what. Look at the ratio of incidents of "muslim outrage". Examine how many of thos eincidents were resolved by Muslim leaders and holy men calling for peaceful resolution, and how many were marked by violence, killing, bombings, riots, and other acts of thuggery. Then tell me again that Muslims are peaceful.

Annie: Unless they have radically altered their membership policies, I don't think the KKK would have me.

But I guess I could check with Sen. Robert Byrd on that....

"Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate."?

That right there proofs that Islam is a religion of war. Ever sense that false prophet Muhammad start threatening kingdoms and nation-states to covert to Islam or suffer, it was never a religion of peace, you are massively mistaken.

"Catholics, Holy War, Jewish riots? WTF? Where the hell do you here that from, that must of happen a long time ago. Right now, Islam is rioting about bullsh** about the Pope preaching REAL historic facts about Islam, Islam is the only religion calling for HOLY WAR RIGHT NOW. So what do you want us to do, CONVERT? HELL NO!

"The Jews' fault"? How? For existing? You're obviously misguided and delusional and your history and facts are way off man.

If a whole movement whats holy war and me and my country dead and if they have the resources and money to pull it of then hell yeah I be afraid and I also be angry at that, would you?

I know that most Muslims are good but they are not doing anything about the evil Islamic Fascist who hijacked the religion of Islam and twisted into their own in the world so they are part of the problem.

And finally, any religion that treats women as robots and tools is a joke!

"plankshee" or what ever the hell your name is, you misinterpret the Koran yourself you fool.

Faerie, where the hell did you see that in the bible. You are delusional too.

annie bee, That happen a looooooooooooong time ago, you need a reality checked and quick!

Islam may be a religon of peace but a small porportion of fanatics ruined it for the majority of peaceful islamist's. The worrying thing is the majority don't stand up to the minority.

Yes there the koran is no more violent than the bible. Everyone has their own intrepretations of both. I have seen many independent islamist women whose husbands would not dare say they are superior to them. In fact a lot of major decisions are made by the women.

I think a lot of what you are saying is provocative or you are not very well informed. I'd like to know when & where buddists have ever kidnapped or beheaded people coz i've never certainly heard of it. Do you realize that Buddism is the only philosphy where there has been absolutely NO war fought over it???????

Jewish Orthodox riots all round the world - I for one haven't seen nor heard of one in Australia nor have I read of one anywhere else in the world of recent times. I find your anti-jewish line immature at best & probably very offensive to many people & no I am not jewish.

I am Catholic & I've never ever heard anyone call for a holy war when someone has insulted the pope. Maybe you are just joking I don't know or just trying to "Get a bite".

I think what you done is insult many people from all over the world and of different faiths - YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You must be one of the misinformed Americans as you are NOT obvisously well versed nor well travelled as some........

Maybe we just can't see it through all the smoke and flames and explosions and gunfire and body parts flying around all over the place. As far as the Protestants Suicide bombers and Jewish Orthdox riots and Buddists beheading people and Catholic Holy war;
a term I've never even heard of, I think you may have been listening to muslim media propaganda a bit to much.

Do you remember this?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

?Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information..........
It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!

He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"

Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir."

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"

"No, sir," continued Ollie.

"No? And why not?" the senator asked.

"Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir."

"Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned.

"By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered.

"Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?"

"His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked.

"Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered.

"And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator.

"Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth."

The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore!

Also:

Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners."

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released.
&nb! sp;
Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center . This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.
It was censored in the US from all later reports.

If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this o n.

HA!! YA RIGHT!! The islamic society is responsible for such an incredible amount of violence and war. Why do you think the middle east has been so unstable for so long. Without a doubt. The islamic societies that exist today are by far the worst societies the world has ever seen, and I mean EVER!!

LMAO! Yeah, it's hard to see the peaceful Islamics. They seem to be hiding or something. All you ever hear about are the 'radical fundamentalists' who are just obeying what they read. Go figure. But then, come to think of it, the only real peace we can have in this world is the peace of the grave. Maybe that's what they mean.

Beautiful question really, although I would add that while you're right the fact is that many religions are at their core endowed with some of the same hatred, bigotry and violence that is marking Islam today. Christians are not blameless in history and could quite frankly repeat some of the abuses of the past if they feel it in their best interest,it's all about power, that's all it's ever been. And I assure you there are verses you could find in the bible just as bad, afraid you will have to do that research for yourself though,I've read it but I don't commit garbage to memory.

Saint, you did not come in peace; most people will not believe that the Christian religion has been resonsible for the bloodshed of millions. The Romans in the name of Jesus Christ killed and enslaved others wherever they went including the people of the British Isles. The Crusaders in the quest for a "chalice' invaded the Mid East and left a path of murder and destruction; missionaries brought disease, converted some, who in turn killed non believers.
The list goes on and on, then the master killer, Adolph Hitler, who inspired 'good Christian' people to turn their their backs on the persecution and deaths of millions; the greatest slaughter in our history.
In the present conflict, our Born Again President fabricated lies to go to War against an Islamic Country, using the actions of 11 Saudi Arabians and the deaths of 3,000 people from 33 countries, including the US. Perhaps his score is long since even, as over 30,000 of Iraq's people are dead.

You, sir, are an imposter and hate agitator, go join the KKK!

The problem is the Islamic Fascists hide behind the true religion, not unlike the way the Hezbos hide behind innocent civilians (women and children)!

Pure ignorance. Most of them have not read the Koran. I know one is supposed to read it in Arabic. I doubt if I ever will learn that language, but even a translation is instructive. In some ways I prefer it to the bible.
