Katrina, no. Incarceration rates and unemployment, yes. The root causes are the effects of history, prejudice and government institutions, as well as the police and media.

You mean there were no non blacks incarcerated, affected by Katrina, or unemployed?
You know the Black Panthers had it right: Clean up your own house before looking for excuses.
It is poverty, institutional poverty, that is the problem.
Congratulations: We now know you are a racist, a racist against non blacks.

When we will eliminate racism towards anybody period? Racism doesn't just hold black people down, but it isn't always the cause, either. Where I go to school I see lazy people everyday that could rise above and do better, but they choose not to because they've been conditioned to their laziness. But that's in every culture-because I see it in whites, blacks, and Hispanic alike.

high incarceration rates: bad personal choices
Katrina: nature
UN-employment: lack of motivation
not all but, a lot of UN-employed people, regardless of race expect to be given a chance to start at the top.

Not sure really. All I can say is that prejudice is everywhere and against everybody.....black, hispanics.
Education and progress are key for minorities to fight back against racism.
