my computer and internet are unbearably slow. i have done a virus spyware scan with SUPERAntiSpyware but there's nothing. i have 256 MB RAM and 40 GB HDD. what can be the problem and how to solve?

i defragment my system at least twice a month, i have 73% free space, clean caches, temp internet files, cookies, browser history regularly, but i just have one partition, C drive. can that be the reason? if that is, then how to solve without another partition?

go to the start menu, click on run,type in the word cookies, once you are in there, click on the files and delete them all. after you have done that go to the start menu again, click on accessories, click on system tools, then click on defragment. once you have done that, your system should run better.

First of all Defragment your hard drive. To do this go to start menu/programs/accessories/system tools/disk defragmenter.
Let it finish, if you have not defragmented before it will take some time. Performance should increase.
Secondly, start internet explorer go to tools/internet options &
click delete cookies.
Third, download some netbooster software or download a free trial copy of System Mechanic from
http://www.iolo.com/sm/
It is a really good software to improve system speed & net connection.
Fourth, Download a registry repair software, Corrupt registry can slow the system. System mechanic will do this for you.

Do u clean ur temp files from the temp directory?
do u defrag ur system at least once in a month?
did u install visual studio 97 or above in ur system?
do u clean cookies from ur system?
did u install a lot of memory resident programs which loads with window start up?

START >> All programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> System Restore
and restore it to a early point where u can remember when ur computer wasnt running so slow!!

1) U must be leaving 25% Free From ur memory (40GB is not bad)
2) ur RAM is not very good (I Request That First Thing u must think about when u do changes on ur computer to upgrade ur RAM)

4)Open Disk CleanUp & Clean Up Your Temporary Internet Files & Recycle Bin To Improve ur Internet

Change the RAM, make it 512MB or swap the processor with a new one (it'll be cheaper). Anyways, hv u tried scanning with REGCURE? It really works, since it detects system crash errors also. Following is the link :
