In the world community, if you are strong enough,
you make your own rights. What gives China the
right to deny basic human rights to their citizens?
What gives North Korea the right to starve their
citizens so they can have a strong military?
They question is not whether a country has the right,
it's whether it has the political and military and
possibly the economic power.

Of course they have the right to nuclear power as an electricity source,I wish all electricity on earth was produced by nuclear power, but I think that some of their moves have made it clear that nuclear power is not the final goal. It would seem that nuclear weapons are their ultimate goal and that they should not have, ever.Their president is an unstable religious fanatic who clearly would like nothing better than a little genocide of Israel, and to let a person such as that have nuclear weapons is simply unacceptable. I see it as unavoidable though because we seem to have decided that this will be dealt with by the the UN which essentially means that you should just sit back and relax and wait for the nuclear explosion coming to a town near you. After all look at the banner job the UN is doing in Darfur, the Sudanese are so pleased they can barely contain themselves,NOT!

Sure they have the right to use nuclear energy for PEACEFUL purposes. What they DON'T have the right to is to threaten and destabilize the entire region by threatening to nuke Israel and any other nation they consider an enemy at the time to conform to their "jihad". If the Iranian people want nuclear power, fine. Then they should elect a government that doesn't rattle the nuclear sabre to encourage Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorism throughout the world.

Iran has just as much of a right to nuclear power as any other country. We speak of Weapons of Mass Destrucion as if we believe them to be atrocious, yet we have them, have used them, have given them to be used and stock pile Israel with them annually. I'm all for no nuclear weapons globally, but who's to say who can have them and who can't? Once some countries have them the others have to have them to create a balance. As Americans we must remember how we felt when the British were trying to infiltrate us; we armed ourselves. How can we expect others not to feel the same?
I realize that people are scared that a country that doesn't agree with us be armed, but if we would change our foreign policies and persue justice and fairness, we wouldn't have to worry about nuclear weapons or car bombs or planes going into our buildings. We MUST remember that peace only comes through justice, not by force.
Asking Iran not to have nuclear energy (or even nuclear power), is like a man known for making forceful advances on women and going to them when not invited, getting angry if the women begin to carry mase or even a gun. As counter intuitive as it may be for some, a balance of power actually promotes peace. I wish no one had any weapons, but because some do, it's natural for others to want to feel safe too.

Yes they have the right to nuclear power, but that's not what they want. The US, Russia, China, France, and many other country's would let them have it if they really needed it. But they have enough oil to produce all of the power they want without nuclear. The nuclear material used in power plants can't be used in a bomb, but they want the material that can be. The only way to get that is to make it and that is what they are trying to do. We are trying to stop them from becoming a threat to the free world, not to keep them form having power.

They have just as much right as anyone else to use nuclear power. I personally wish the US would pursue that avenue more for a viable energy source.

Every country has right to use nuclear power as U.S., and U.K., have. India, Iran, North Korea, etc., all countries have equal rights to protect themselves.

But the thing is that no country has ever used Nuclear Weapons, except U.S., U.K., & Israel.
U.S., used it at Hiroshima and Nagasaki (Japan) still not left this country, since 1945.
U.S. U.K. & Israel jointly used in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palastene, Lebenon.
Israel has admitted that she has showered Clustor Bombs at Lebenon and Palastene.

Look at it this way as long as in the middle east the war ammunitions go to Israel, the bandages go to the Arabs, Iran or any other country for the matter is entitled to any form to defend itself! I dont agree with any nation having nuclear weapons ,they must be banned! We either re-solve this hatred or we perish in it!
