Some British dude have said "english skills".. Ya if the Indians had english skills, they would be playing terrible cricket... Anyway, now, Indian cricket is no better than that of english... I think Indians have all the players who are talented enough to make a pretty good impact in the world cup series but the problem is, they still choke against strong oppositions... I think they have a major moral problem and they don't have quality bowlers. No matter how much they can score, they still can't defend their score.. It happened in the game against WI.. They need more practising and moral boosting tachniques if they are to pose a threat to other teams in the world cup.... Else, they'll have to give up hopes on the world cup and they won't be able to make it into the semi-finals or quarter-finals even.... They still have enough time to learn from their mistakes,,,

The thing they lack ythe most is CONSISTENCY. If one of their department shines on a given day the other fails. There is no peoblem in their physical aspect, rather they have to be mentally more strong. One more problem the department of fast bowling, although we have Irfan, Ajit etc but still they are not genuinely fast. The Indian team also needs to resolve the problem of opening slot which keeps on changing every match. The problems are not huge, but still can be responsible for downfall if not sorted out quickly.

consistency is the thing that our players lack
one performs well in a match then there is a flop show for a no of innings and again a bang & another mindblowing innings and guess what players are selected coz ppl wait for for that one gud performance(sehwag is an example).
we need players who can bat.bowl & feild consistently
along with them there is also flaws in the ppl that they judge players very early and when he's not able to fulfill the expectations he is thrown away this wud really be disheatrening(pathan and ganguly's case)
and ya can't neglect the politics in the game(kumble)
also our players shud get a littlle professional

Only 2 outta 10 wins come from bowlers, by means of bowling.. bowling is the weakest chain and it puts pressure on batters therefore. It is not the bowling skills but the lack of pace which is of concern.. someone so young and was clocking 145K+ as Pathan has drastically reduced to a 120K bowler after his Pakistan series (i dunno if he got threatened lol) and now he says if he has to play a long injury free career, then bowling at 120 and doing a bit of batting will keep his place.. this sucks, what if all players start thinking of doing just enough to keep his place in XI? I think we should put a benchmark for getting pace bowlers.. if they cannt clock 140 consistenty and swing the ball both ways, get them out .. it will either open up space for someone who is willing to work out and bend himself or get the message right to that player.

A good "thinking" captain who can outsmart his counterpart on the field, as per situation demands. He shouldnt carry paper bits or demand a drink every 5 overs to get notes from coach. Sadly, India never had any of that kind.. we had few dynamic captains, few redheads, few model boys, very few good thinkers "Off" the field, but once on field, if their plan B & C goes awry, they return back to plan A , then B , C in cyclic manner, with no innovation or "on field" intelligence.

Indian cricket lacks QUALITY fast bowler. Irfan, Sreesanth, Munaf, Zaheer, Balaji, RP Singh, ..... all of them good bowler, but are not Good Quality bowlers. Probably Srinath was the lasty good fast bowler India had. Rest of them have shown there talent in series or two, but are not consistent.
Indian team needs Quality fast bowlers

indians lack in the bowlin department, there is no bowler who cud pierce thro any teams batting order, also that they lack the ability to stop the run flowin... when the batsmen get over the bowler, indians bowlers give up rather than stoppin them...
as for as battin is concerned, they hav got quality batsmen who r not tat much consistent..
fieldin is not so gr8 as compared to others!!!!....

CAN' T PLAY FAST BOWLING IN FOREIGN VENUE!!
They have that handicap since long time but hiding it in winning at home in spin pitch!!
Batsman and bowlers are media hyped,
their aim was not to perform to WIN but only to be recognized by ignorant people and media!!
