I went to work and then just stayed home and when I got back to college in the morning my dvds were out from in my desk and she had gone through my boxes and ate my groceries, I was just gone for one night!! I have talked to her about it once I said "please just ask before you take my stuff" but it has continued to happen. What do i do?

I can't get a new room mate without a lot of fees which is stupid, a lock box is a possibility but I would feel kinda weird with one. How do I bring one without feelind awkward?

I would consider getting a new roomate. Is there an RA you can talk to about this? You have already talked to her, and she does not seem willing to change. It is wrong and disprespectful. You shouldn't have to worry every time you leave your room.
Good luck!

When I read your question, the first thing that came to mind was the Ex-Lax. Put some in some food that she might pick up and eat. After she has to keep running to the bathroom, maybe she will not bother your food anymore. I would really do that more that once if the first time didn't work.
And I would get a large trunk and a big lock and put all my personal belongings in it that I didn't want her to use. I would fill it and lock it, while she was there and tell her why you had to get a trunk and lock. Maybe she would get the idea then.

Have a great day!

You said that you have already talked to her once. Tell her again. If she isn't someone that you think you can trust, then talk to whomever is in charge of your dorm. You shouldn't have to move because of your roommates bad behavior.
I think those big trunks that you can buy, and put your stuff in, that you don,t want anyone else into, is a great idea. I bought my son one when he was in college. Put a lock on it, and it should keep anybody out of your stuff when you are not there.

Get yourself some odorless, tasteless Ex-Lax and put it in something you know she'll eat or drink. She'll never take any of your food again. Don't put too much in, just enough to give her the "runs." And don't forget what you put it in and take it yourself. LOL. She just might get the idea to not touch your material possessions either.

Beyond that, don't be so nice about it. You can be firm without being mean. Just tell her point-blank "I don't appreciate you messing with my food or stuff. No one gave you the right to assume my things are your things. Either ask or keep your hands off. Period."

Well, u could confront her about it. Tell her u're not happy about it because taking ur stuff without is ur permission is just like stealing. If things don't work out, u can consider moving out or find a new room mate.

Screw up your courage and bring in the box that is lockable. SHE's the one who has produced the problem, let her be the one to suffer the guilt. Stand up for yourself and protect you and yours. Hint: This is excellent practice to carry over into relationships with guys. Do not let folks walk on you. You'll get might tired of footprints all over your bod if you don't.

Lock your bedroom door. Then go buy a paper and find a new apartment, or a new roommate. That sucks.

You need to talk to her again, and explain that it really upsets me that she is invading your space, and taking your things, and if it happens again, you are going to have to get the school involved, because it is stealing, and it is an invasion of my privacy. Say i hope we can work this out once and for all.

Cutie

the food is no big deal it going thru the stuff. Ask her if she would replace the food for you nicely, you just have to get thru it somehow.
