I think when they say "spaghetti western" it means western
movies like cowboys and red Indians are made with a 'scent'
of Italian actors who usually love spaghetti more than the
usual barbecue steaks and boiled potatoes.

I always thought that it meant the westerns that were made in Italy, usu in the mid-60's. For instance, Clint Eastwoods's, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Hang'em High.

The 'flying spaghetti monster' was created when the Kansas State Board of Public Education tried to get creationism/ID taught in public schools. Two university employees showed up at a meeting with the GOSPEL OF THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER, and demanded that if creationism/ID was taught in science classes, then their gospel would have to be taught as well. They had lawyers backing them, and the Board of Ed buckled.
