Yep! I saw the movie the day it opened. I saw the unedited version; it was edited in less than a week after it opened. They removed a lot of stuff. A bunch of us went to see it, even though my parents told me not to see it. I wasn't old enough to but ticket so one person was old enough and bought the ticket (I was 16). To this day I still cannot listen to the commercial! There were some really graphic scenes that made me sick; I ran out of the theater, a lot of people walked out because it was too much. I thought i was going to puke, eventually i went back in but covered my eyes pretty much for the rest of the movie. It was really disturbing. Now that someone has mentioned it, I remembered the scene where she was crawling like a crab was in the first released version.

Sweet God yes, I had nightmares about it, still can't believe my parents let me watch that. I love a good scary movie but that one was a little much even for me. I have an 11yo who has asked to see it, the first thing that came to mind was the scene where she is doing bad bad bad things with the crucifix, so NO WAY can my kid see that. EWWWWWW getting the heebs just thinking about it!

Yes, that movie scares the crap out of me. Have you seen the re-released version that includes footage not in the first one? There is a scene where the devil makes her walk crab-like backwards down the stairs and on the ceiling, and it was so scary!

I seen that movie when it came out in the movie theatres many years ago.
To this day, I can't watch it. It scares the hell outta me. In fact, when my kids watch it on DVD, I have to leave because I can't even stand to HEAR it from another room....
