Yes...and they can get giardia as well. I provided some links for you to read about how it can effect our fur babies

E-coli lives in the intestines of many mammals including us humans, and performs helpful functions there. it just wreaks havoc when it gets into other places, like your upper digestive system or your bloodstream.
