I'm just talking about casually talking to their student, like saying "hey" or something. Don't say because of sexually harrassment or anything like that cause i don't mean it that way. Like when a student tells their teacher hey, they just kinda ignore them. Then the teacher will talk when they're in the classroom.

Are you talking about seeing a teacher in the store or other community place?

As a teacher, I can give you my answer...

I will stop and talk to students I see in a store if they say something first or want to introduce me to their parents, etc. It is not embarrassment that stops me from talking to a student first. You as a student may have 6 or so teachers. Teachers have nearly 100 students per year (not including former students). If a teacher stopped to chat with every student (and former student) he/she ran into in the community (store, etc.), the teacher would get absolutely nothing done.

My wife is also a teacher. Whenever we go to a store or anywhere in the district where we work, we make a like friendly wager. The wager is how many students/former student we will see. The count on low days is 5 to 10. On high days, it can be over 20.

Don't take offense if your teachers don't stop to say "Hi" in the store. It probably is not because they are embarrassed. It is more likely that they are just trying to get stuff done and don't have the time to stop and talk to every student they run into.

That sounds kind of rude to me. But I can almost understand (not the rudeness, I would always at least give a nod or a wave to acknowledge the person-weather they are a kid or an adult).

I used to work as a teacher for 6th graders and when I was with my adult teacher friends, I was there-in the moment. I knew my relaxing role as a 'person' would be ending in minutes and Id have to go back to being a role model, teacher, comedian, knower-of-all... Its almost like having multiple personlalities.

Almost everyone does it to some degree.. Do you act one way around certain friends and another way around other friends? What about how you act around your parents? Or your grandparents?

Gotta give em a break, teachers have really hard jobs and dont get the recognition or pay to match it. They are teaching the future of our country and sometimes, they just want to curse, gripe about their spouse and have a smoke-be adults for one or two minutes out of the day.

A few things are possible:
Their mind is elsewhere. Sometimes people say hello to me and my mind is off somewhere else or engrossed in another conversation that I just dont really hear another person.

They dont feel that "teacher/student" connection. Sometimes they are simply there for the paycheck.

They are just rude. No explanation.

there may be issues you arent telling us- if I actually have a pupil it extremely is quiet it extremely is nice with me- fairly in the event that they are on the right track and finished their artwork. whether in the event that they exhibit an recommendations-set that they are stricken via having to be contained in the class and are passive aggressive then I actually have a controversy. generally however i'm familiar by using fact the extremely nice one and scholars will often tell different pupils to straighten up till now I ever would desire to- in case you get childrens on your factor they're going to police their very own. Now if I actually have a difficulty with a pupils habit you will possibly be certain that each and each different instructor does too- its approximately development relationships
