supervisor changed hours and mileage on time sheet ,said it was excessive and company should not have to pay

There should be a grievance system in place in your company. If not, report to Feds. Should be posters or other reference clearly posted telling you about your protections under federal law and who to call if you need to. If such is not posted, that is also a violation.

P.S. - document the hell out of everything!!! You will need proof. Make copies in future of timesheets after you fill them out, then after he alters them. Be sure you can account for and justify the time he is deleting.

As an ex supervisor I can tell you that it is not legal.Contact the Federal Wage and Hour division they will advise you on the matter.

Since he did, it's obvious he can. Is it right, or legal? Gee I don't know, I don't have access to your contract/employee handbook/union rep.

in 50 of 50 states, I'd have to say that it's not legal to do that.
