A shower and a healthy breakfast. No caffeine so you don't crash and burn later.

I know that a good breakfast and healthy eating throughout the day sounds boring and bland but it works!! Making sure your meals contain protein, especially breakfast keeps that sluggish feeling away. I don't mean a high protein diet, just enough for your gender, age, height and weight, activity level and general lifestyle, assuming you have no medical conditions that require you to adjust your protein level. Adequate protein and some fat in your meals, especially breakfast keeps your insulin level less volatile which keeps you more alert. Too much coffee (caffeine) also causes insulin spikes which can eventually make you feel sluggish.
If you are interested in knowing more precisely how much protein you need on a daily basis plus the right amount of fat and carb, consult with a Registered Dietitian. I hope this helps!
