the piano is not as sad as a woodwind instrument or a violin but it can still sound very sad. it's the way the keys sound when they're struck and that "echoing" sound. can actually be made so sound very poignant and lonely

it is not the piano it is the player

they could play happy songs or really passion filled slow songs.

the slow ones are my fave!
