Does anyone find it really annoying that ordinary people who appear on programmes like Big Brother and the X - Factor suddenly became celebrities?

oh yes. it's damn annoying. but it's not so bad if they're modest about their fame and carry themselves decently. but the worst is if they become famous and start acting like they're so great. if they're really celebrities of substance, they'll last longer than fifteen minutes.

(Only if they're really annoying.)
However, sometimes these reality show people are so adorable or so popular with the crowd that they SHOULD be a celebrity.
Ex - Keith from Paradise Hotel.
What a nice guy.
He lives here and he is so down to earth and so sweet.
He deserved to be "famous", even if only for a little while.
*Zack didn't deserve any attention because he was a pr*ck. Very hot, but WHAT a pr*ck.
And don't even get me started about Toni.
Ugh.
I don't watch reality shows anymore, with the exception of the "Amazing Race."
I gave up on them after Paradise Hotel.

They are only celebrities in the eyes of the fans of shows like that. The rest of the world doesn't care.

Lots of people get 15 minutes of fame...
Some manage to hang onto it for a while and some do not..
It does not irritate me...

people like that only become celebs because the general public pay them such attention, but lets face it, those who deserve it have long jevity...big brother "stars" have a short shelf life

Of course it is but it is eventually you guys who make them those demi gods.....stop watching those innane programmes and the TRP's will tumble down.
