Let me try and answer your questions one by one.

Almost any job in the US will earn you $1000/month. The government-mandated "minimum wage" is $5.15/hour, or $858/month. Very few people actually make this little, however, as most companies are forced by the free market to pay $7/hour ($1166/month) or more to remain competitive. There may be jobs that only pay $5.15/hour, but you would have to search very hard to find them.

You can buy many things with $1000, but most of this money would go to housing, utilities, transportation and food, with little left over for luxuries.

The lifestyle of someone earning only $1000/month would be very simple, by US standards. You might even be forced to share an apartment with another wage-earner to make ends meet.

For 2006 (the numbers change each year), the US government considers $9800/year ($817/month) to be the "poverty threshold." A single person (without a family) earning below this level is officially considered impoverished. Therefore, someone earning $1000/month is technically above the poverty threshold, but most Americans would consider it a meager existence.

I hope I've helped to answer your questions.

Almost any job earns $1,000 per month. An hourly rate of $5.75 will earn $1,000 per month. Many states have minimum wage laws higher than that level. Your lifestyle, or kind of living that you ask about, depends not on how much you spend, but how much you enjoy. Friendship costs little as far as dollars, but returns far greater rewards. Only on paper would a man be considered poor based on income. $1,000 will provide food and clothing. You can't buy a good attitude or a loving heart.

America is a country of plenty and even for people with such a low salary there is a way of survival! People in that condition can always indulge in moonlighting as there are many jobs which can be done by part-time workers, as the Great Inquisitor has mentioned in her answer!

By the way, based on the statutory minimum wage per hour, one should earn more than the figure quoted by you! So, if you are looking for an opening in USA, make sure you learn about labor rights in America as they are totally different from China.

Good luck in your endeavors!

1000 dollars a month is not much. It would be considered poverty. You would live poorly. A minimum wage job (fast food) would earn you maybe 1000 a month. You could buy a big screen TV for around 1000 dollars.

yes that is poverty level, very poor. You need at least twice that for any real quality of life and even then it would be super hard to raise a family on that. We are talking fast food industry or housekeeping, etc. Most likely manual labor of some sort. I worked many of these jobs as I went to college.

Education brings better job opportunities.

Very poor, like section 8 housing and welfare poor. It would be a very low level job, like some kind of cheap labor or high school type jobs (sacker at grocery store, for example). Cannot buy much, unfortunately.
