Spanish and Portuguese form of RICHARD
Means "brave power", derived from the Germanic elements ric "power, rule" and hard "brave, hardy". The Normans introduced this name to Britain.
But that's not why I like it. I like it simply because it's mine, and considering most other alternatives to male portuguese names, I think I was kinda lucky to have one that actually sounds alright. I don't give all that much importance to it anyway. One name that I do like a lot is Leonardo, because 3 of the historical figures I most admire had it: Leonardo da Vinci, Leon Trotsky and Leo Tolstoy.

Look everybody likes his/her own name. But... I like the name of urs : Julie , coz : the name is so full of life 'n vibes, a common name yet it's freshness never disappears. Here lies its beauty.
Anyways, my name is "Chandrima"(bengali name).
