For my son (17 but taking them from 12) I buy multi-vitamins with added minerals. I get mine from Tesco but I have bought them in all the major supermarkets in the UK so I'm sure they are available wherever you are. They are, get this, cheaper than plain multivits and because they are generic (non-branded) much cheaper than any major brand. Look for the longest ingrediants list.
The ones we use have all major vits plus calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, zinc, iodine etc. etc.etc.
He is definately more prone to do stuff when he remember to take one a day and a about a penny each I don't care if it's all a placebo. he gets out of bed. That's good enough for me

Cod liver oil! As for anything else, don't supply it as a supplement; supply it as part of a proper diet regime.
