rock : i like because it has the crunch & beats. i like Dream Theater , Instrumental Rock - Joe Sat , Steve Vai,etc
pop: its ok, coz it mixes lighter beats with good melodies eg. bryan adams
country: not everytime rarely get a mood like hearing it
best i like is Rock

The bad aspect is the paucity of songs that actually have good lyrics- most of the rap/hip-hop/pop music is all about sex,sex,violence, sex,money and lame-o love crap that isn't a good reflection of reality. A lot of country songs are like this too. Then hip-hop has a lot of repetitive rhythms and sounds, so it gets boring. Country is like a big soap opera and they basically are doing music therapy for themselves. Rock, a lot of the time, I don't want to say encourages or promotes feelings of anger, but that is a major topic in that genre. I like music, and I listen to it all, and at different times and in different moods I find them all enjoyable.

Apples and Oranges really. You like what you like. I for one like any thing with a beat from Japan to Alaska, from Africa to Europe. Hip Hop is cool. It is like poetry in motion to me, Rock music has that feel good factor about it, Pop reminds me of my childhood and the best years of Micheal Jackson, Genesis, Madona etc, Country music any day on a long winding road to the summer Camp with the kids and Missus joining in happily in the sing along

I prefer rock & pop music more they are easy listening. I am fed up with hip-hop cos my b/f loves it & plays it in his house, in the car.

I can't stand country, but the rest are great! Or rather, some of it's good. There is some of each that I like and some of each that I don't.

I someti,me dont like hip-hop, when the song has a sexual undertone, or when the video is shot without taste.

I generally don't like hip hop.However, I like songs like "lonely" by akon, 'Gasolina',etc. It's something about the genre that I just can stand.I like songs that are different and beautiful, be it Reggae, Pop or rock.
