Will we be ready to inhabit another planet or will we be doomed and stricken into earth?

We'll have to be. I think the realization that the earth is reaching the end of sustainable life will be a wake-up call for us. If the whole world works togather to advance colonization of other plants it will be done in days.

I don't think it will happen for thousands of years if we even manage to be able to do that. So by then, we will be ready to inhabit another planet.
