Er, yeah, I live in it. It is a country( a rather Large country) in Europe, in the center-eastern side of it.
Its borders are :Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Iugoslavia and Moldavia.
It has a shore at the Black Sea and the Danube crosses it.
Its capital is Bucharest.
Have you never heard of it??? That is quite odd, but whatever.

Spent nearly two weeks there. Loved the food and beautiful countryside. Went To Bucharest, Snagov, Cuerta Arges, Targoviste, Brasov, Sighisoara, Rasov Castle, Bran Castle, and the fortified saxon town of Harman.
When I was there 3 years ago the transportation system was a bit inconvenient but they were making changes by creating maxi-taxis that went cheaply from town to town.
Romania has an interesting and controversial history going back to 200 BC at least.
Ceausescu really did a number on Romania unfortunately by bulldozing tradtional villages and erecting those godawful disgraces to archticture.
As for Dracula, he was actually a Prince not a count and his court was in Wallachia (Targoviste to be exact) not Transylvania. His real name was Vlad III (or IV) often called Tepes - the Impaler - for his pasttime hobby of dealing with criminals, cheats, and Turks. Ironically I nearly got ripped off by the caretaker of Vlad's tomb in Snagov. Vlad would have impaled the cheating fellow had he not been six feet under the ground - and supposedely missing his head!
Anyway, I hope to make it back to Romania soon.

Yes, I know of it pretty well because I live in it.
Buna. Ce sa spun... it's very beautiful, the people are rather pleasant to strangers out of Europe, if you don't count the gypsies. There are some political problems, and Romania will be part of E.U. in 2007, not everyone agrees with it, believe me I don't, but we will see.

yes, it is in europe right next to Moldova, not far from Ukraine. the capital is Bucharest, they speak Romanian language which is a romance language, very similar to Moldovian, I think it was also part of the USSR. it's a poor country from what I understand, i think they might border the black sea, I know that in Moldova there are still many Russian speakers, in Romania not too sure.

It's come up in my geography class once or twice. Vlad Tepesh was born there. So I hear of it pretty often.
