My best mate is a guy. Today I found out that he has been in love with me for the entire time i have known him....upwards of ten years. Should i risk our friendship, by taking up a relationship with him, knowing there is a very high likelyhood of my ruining it and hurting him, or should i do nothing, and let our friendship continue the way it has, knowing that it hurts him?
I do have some feelings for him. I feel guilty when i go out with others, jealous when he does, but i am very aware of what i would be risking. Should I or shouldn't I?

go for it.. great romances are started by fab friendships.. love wont destroy your friendship it will just make it grow you did admit that you have feelings for the guy so why not?? love isint just about sex or desperation its about wanting to share your life with this guy so simply ask yourself " do i love him?" and you just solved your problem.. follow your heart..

Risk it! Why not, you will grow more in a relationship. Your friendship will continue to be filled with jealousy etc. That's only fun for a minute and the whole time you wish it was you. Might as well give it a chance and let it be you. Life is too short, what if taking this chance works out and he makes you happy for the rest of your life.

I think that if you really truly have these feelings and are not just going on a reaction to what he said, you can pursue it although it will be wierd at first.
If you can be honest with yourself then you dont have to worry about hurting him at all.
I hope that this will turn out to be a good things for you.

You will have to decide what is the best for you. Point is that boyfriends come and go but true friends are rare and to be treasured.

Have a good friendship with him like 2 lovers would. I'll have sex with him if i feel like, I'll do whatever with him but we both have to know that we are just friends that like each other and don't want it to get too deep. I had a relationship with a guy that had a girlfriend, he had been with for about 3yrs. oh well, I liked him and he liked me, i did what I wanted to with him. We are still friends. He still with his gurl. It don't bother me. Be cool with it.
