I have inherited a rather large (40 in. long x 25.5 in. wide x 28 in. tall) basket on casters. I was told a long time ago that it was an orginal Longaberger textile basket, used in the textile mills. I have not been able to find any information on this or any textile basket/bin. Does anyone have any information or know where I can find information to confirm or deny that its a Longaberger? I contacted the company several weeks ago and recieved no reply.

Newark, Ohio. The Longaberger Basket Company was found in the 1930's. Baskets are great collector items, and the one you have, depending on age and style, may be worth 100's of $. Go to Longaberger.com and you will find many sources. Independant collectors, like my sister-in-law search the web for these baskets. BY the way, the main office building for Longaberger is an large building in the form of a basket. Good Luck!

hmmmmmmmm...I would probably try to contact the company again and again and again. Does it have initials and a date on the bottom? The ones I have all have the initials and the date of the person who made it and the date it was made. Keep trying...sorry I can be of any help! Sounds like an interesting basket to have. Good luck.
