Yup been there. Not only time, but distraction. Distraction and someone else. I dont' mean rush into a relationship right away. I mean, start dating some nice women who will take up some of your time. Someone who will distract you with the simple ability to do things with, someone to learn about, someone to have a conversation with, try new things with. You'd be very suprised how if you meet a nice person, you will be enthralled with a new relationship in your life and forget your pain. A relationship can be very casual and friendly if you want it to be. Dont' get into anything serious. Be upfront with the person you meet and tell them your situation and frame of mind.

TIme will cure all, but right now try to distract yourself with things you did not do with your ex. Try to keep your body on an even keel like eating right, not drinking to excess and lots of exercise - I know that sounds lame but at least think about it. Also this is not the time to get into another relationship, it is not fair to you or someone you would date seriously - I mean, go out and try to have some fun, but let yourself heal up a bit first. The last thing a potential new gf wants to hear about is the ex love of your life soulmate etc. major turn off.
We have all been dumped and some have done the dumping it is never fun.
I lost what I thought was the love of my life many years ago. I went on and found a new relationship and lasting happiness . I have had enough contact with the old flame to realize that it would never have worked out between us as she was too self-centered and married to a career that she thought would bring her fame and fortune but provided little of either. For me living well was the best revenge. Still there is a little piece of me that wonders "what if?". Sorta like like an old wound that aches in bad weather.....
I feel for you buddy - Good Luck!

Unfortunately you don't ever fully gt over a love like that when you feel it so strong. All you can do is stay busy, get back to life, go out, enjoy your friends and try to just forget. Time is an effective healer but we dont' control the time. Give yourself a day or a weekend to "wallo in self pity" and then pick yourself up and reach for your happiness with out this person.

Time can't really heals which I have experienced unless you find another love better than her.The first cut is always the deepest. You must also have an open heart and mind not to think of her.Let go all the sorrows and don't feel sorry for yourself. Self pity can leads to depression. Find something to occupy your mind.
Remember to love her doesn't necessary have to be with her.

u can't forget her in a short time. Believe me. It has been 7years and i'm still thinking about him. I thought he was the one until he left one day. It hurts like hell. i lost my mind for sometime. Everybody deserve a second chance. we will get our second chance.but we just dont know how long it will take for us to heal. only time has the answer. Take ur time. dont love someone who dont love you. there are still so many things in this life we can do. get a transfer. change place. do new things. listen music. be with ur friends. holla me if u need someone to talk. be brave. cry if u want.

move on - this might help when you think of her remember only the good - don't think that she left you just remember the good and that will put a smile on your face -it should make you feel less hurt - try it -
