I'm attending a community college right now, and I'm studying a subject where you have to get admitted into the program itself. I already was admitted to the University, should I also now apply to the program's department chair too?

Check the University's Undergraduate Bulletin for the program requirments. If you have met all of the criteria for acceptance, go ahead and apply now. They may have limited enrollment.
If the University has an online degree audit, run your current transcript against the degree audit and begin to plan the rest of your semesters. Consult the catalog because some courses will only be offered in a specific Fall or Spring.

U should talk to an advisor, with you being a transfer student things might be different but at my college if you were an incoming freshman there are usually things you need to do before u get accepted into that particular school, such as business school or whatever. Most of the time they arent direct admits. You would probably need to go and talk to the advisor and see where you need to go from there. But just because it is fall of 07 dont think u have a lot of time. Time slips away from you before you know it. So just keep working toward your goal and things will work out just right for you.

Absolutely you should apply to the department chair. If you are not accepted into the program for whatever reason, it gives you the opportunity to find out what you need to do to be accepted either in the next semester or the next year. If you wait, all spots available in the department may be filled and you will be out of luck for the year. And congratulations on being accepted into the University!
