I just got over my period, I started a new pack of pills but decided to stop after the fifth day and I began bleeding again is this normal and how long does the bleeding last?

yes, this is break through bleeding, it's how your body responds to not having the hormones that are supplied by the pill. this should only last for a few days until your body readjusts itself hormonally. it's not a good thing to not take the pill as prescribed, as it will cause your body to do exactly what you are currently going through. your poor ovaries don't quite know what to do right now....it's best to stay on or off the pill, one or the other, so that your body can respond appropriately and consistantly. why did you decide to stop during your pill cycle, anyway? hope this all works out for you, and good luck!

B.C. Pills mess with your hormones, which can change your period. Stopping pills messes with your period and your hormones. Expect a few weeks, maybe even a few cycles, of irregular periods.

yes it could happen to some women, I belive that the bleeding will take another 2 days depends on ur age and ur body conditions.
