In case you haven't noticed, the broadcast news is OWNED by those same war profiteers, GOPers and NEOCONs. There are no more honest reporters any more, and haven't been in quite a while. These guys are either earnest dupes, flack wannabes or Tokyo Rose in photogenic suit.
There were voices shouting "What? Why? Where? Who? When?" after Bush began his terror campaign. But they were not "approved" for the mainstream media, which values the bottom line and covering their bottom more than the truth.
As Leon the Replicant observed, "It's a terrible thing to live in fear, ain't it?" But that's what this administration has ridden on - keeping the "Terror Alert" at orange or above (haw haw). Keeping the fear alive. Pretty good return on a few aircraft and some buildings in New York, isn't it?
Liberal is not a bad thing, as I am pleased you grasp. It is intelligent, compassionate, and reasoned. It has been made into a negative by the repetitive mouthings of those same "news" heads.
Edward R. Murrow would be spinning in his grave, if they hadn't already eaten his corpse.

First of all, most educated Liberals will tell you that the media does, in fact lean left, with the exception of FOX wich leans to the right. This isn't any big secret. So, there's really no big accusation here.

As far as "Bush's lies", why don't you think for yourself, rather then just repeating what your fellow party supporters are saying through the media.

Is Bush a perfect President? No, far from. Very few Presidents will think and believe exactly as you do, so no there's no such animal as a perfect President.

In the history of the US, no President has had a more difficult task as President Bush had after Sept. 11th, 2001. Based on 6 different country's intelegence reports, Iraq was said to have WMDs. Bush didn't intentionally tell us any lies, regarding this. So, 6 (reputable) different countrys are telling us this and the, then President of Iraq had made the statement multiple times, "We posses chemical, bilogical and nuclear weapons and will use them if our Country is violated by the US or any other foreign entitity."

Did we find any WMDs in Iraq? No, not yet, but or military is still looking, since there was ample information that pointed to the possibility they had something. Sure at this point the likeleness of ever finding anythiny is slim and remote. Besides these people are masters of smuggling weapons back and fourth between neighboring countrys.

When we (US) made the decision to go to war with Iraq, were the WMDs the only reason we went in. No, of course not, but that's all we ever hear about. The Senate was also given information that mass murders had taken place under Sadaam's rule. It was also a known fact that Iraq was a strong supporter of multiple terrorist groups, including the Taliban.

So, why don't you stop focusing on whatever your anti-Bush parents, friends or whoever keeps telling you all of your information (propaganda) and develop your own perspective.

Also, what's the problem with your leftist buddies not supporting our troops? Weather you support the reason for this war or not, you should always support our troops who are proudly performing a job, so that you don't have to, regardless of their politcal affiliation or personal political standings. So, be an American, regardless of your political affiliation and support the men and women who are making the ultimate sacrifice.

My perspective: I've served my country in 3 different wars. I've conducted military operations in hostile countries 112 times. DId I agree with my Commander in Chief everytime? Wasn't my job to question (mainly Pres. Clinton) my superior, it was my job that I voluntarily signed up to do.

I've been active in several political arenas and when I didn't agree with someone, I remained silent until I had a working solution that was better than whatever I was disagreeing with.

So, the next time you decide to voice your opinions or disagree with the other team, ask yourself, "Do I have a better solution, or am I just running my mouth?" "Okay, I'm not happy with the way things are going! What am I doing about it?"

One other note, I've fought for my Country to perserve all of our rights and that includes your right to free speach. So, I'm in no way trying to deny you this platform to express yourself . . . . . nor am I denying myself this platform to rebutle.

Take care and God Bless our troops!

Follow up to Grendle, you forgot one thing:

"Pretty good return on a few aircraft and some buildings in New York, isn't it?" You forgot the loss of human life. Yeah great deal my friend!

They all supported? No, fraid they didn't. Fox is the only broadcaster that doesn't seem to seek out opportunities to slam the administration.

Ms. Mapes and Mr. Rather would certainly have liked to have eliminated the president at the 2004 election.

Any time the major news media crank up their propaganda machine, the ghost of Josef Goebbels cackles with glee.
