I guess you have never made a mistake!
Did you provide "justice" when you made a mistake?
Why do you think you should be compensated?
Were / are you out any real money or just you time?
Banks are staffed by people and people sometimes make mistakes!

Good luck

I don't know how you can get that. Years ago, I had a problem with a bank making a mistake and I went to the head office to talk to people about the problems. They said that they would listen. When the end of my visit with this customer service rep came, he said that the bank was right because they set the rules. I was out several hundred dollars and that was that. How are you going to go against that?

you can't
at the most you get is any money due to you if they debited from your account
but time lost in phone calls ect is not recoverable, that the price you pay for doing business
it's no different if you schedulea piece of rental equiptment and you have labor sent out that day for the rental equiptment, and the nthe rental equiptment breaks down leaving you with guys standing around doing nothing, all you get is partial credit for the rental downtime, and nothing for guys standing there on thehourly clock, all busniess assume risk and thus limited liability, when you enter into any form of business contract ( and each transaction is a contract no matter if it's a small 15 cent candy bar to a multibillion dollar purchase ) there is always a limit of liability afforded to the business, if not nobody would do business with anybody as mistakes happen every day and if everybody sues and won every business would close up doors due to hostile business enviroment and or bankruptcy

For any difficiency in service committed by any organisation in the service sector , first write to the concerned organisation for rectification of the defct and making good the loss if sny that resulted from the difficiency giving it some reasonable time -say 15 days to one month . in th eabscence of any response or reasonable response , approach the consumer forum concerned directly or through an advocate.

If this is a bank in the US, contact the FDIC.

if you're looking for the bank to pay you for all the time you put into clearing a mistake on their behalf it will be very difficult to get that money - that is a small claims matter and in the end, not really worth the time or money invested in it.

You can approach a "Banking Ombudsman", which will take up the deficiency in service with the concerned Bank. Details of such Ombudsman will be available in RBI website www.rbi.gov.in

It's a one sided deal. Don't take on this battle, is not worth it. If you haven't yet, change banks.
