Just got back from there this week, average temp/27/30 C. In October it,s pretty much the same. Nice island and very cheap, eating out. But be carefull if you ask for fish, most times it,s not freash but salted, and boy is it salty. Have a nice trip.

The Azores islands have a temperate climate all year round practically with no significant temperature changes. The temperatures vary between a minimum yearly average of 14ºC-/55ºF and 24,8ºC/76,4F. The sea water average temperature under the influence of the Gulf Stream, vary between 16,0ºC/60,8ºF and 22,0ºC/71,6ºF all over the year.
A long-term weather forecast can be obtained from the Meteorological Observatory in Horta; it is best to do this through Horta Marina. A daily prognosis is also posted at the offices of the marina and the port authority. http://www.noonsite.com/Countries/Azores

Lisbon is Europe's second-oldest capital and when home to the world's greatest explorers like Vasco da Gama, Magellan and Prince Henry the Navigator, becoming the very first true world city, the capital of an empire scattering overall continents, from South America (Brazil) to Asia (Macao, China; Goa, India) and know you are able to invest several day to understand this historical city, with hotelbye is where you need to start. The absolute most recognized of Lisbon's important attractions could be the St. George's Castle. That fortress commands a wonderful place near Alfama on the top of a hill overlooking the Portuguese capital. This really is certainly one of Lisbon's most widely used tourist destinations. Their impressive battlements, engaging museum, and interesting archaeological site combine to really make the castle a satisfying experience for everyone, and kids especially will love clambering over the strong surfaces and towers that encircle the grounds.

well in October the weather in Cyprus and paphos is basically more cloudy and cold from the summer but considering you live in UK and there the weather is definitely colder than the weather in Cyprus i think that yes you could still go swimming(okay,it won't be as hot as the summer but you will be able to go swimming and do other things you would like to do). So i suggest you should go to paphos October and i think you will have fun, maybe some days it may rain(not very shore)but most of the days i think you will be able to go swimming. you can always check anyway in a website for the weather in Cyprus .

Wunderground.com is the best weather link I've ever found.
Go to the website and select the city you want to know about. When that city pops up, look midway down the screen to see a place where you can look up weather history.
It's wonderful! (A link for your city is below.)
