"hey righties, why do you credit reagan with clintons 8 years of unprecedented growth, and not bush sr?
now that you've come up with a completely bassakwards theory to credit reagan with 8 years of unprecedented growth that began 4 years after he left office"
Actually I don't. I don't give credit for GOOD economy to any President. The President doesn't control the economy. Congress has more control over the economy than the President does. After all they are the ones who pass tax increases and cuts.
",,,,i find it rather amusing you fools dont even try to give credit to bush sr.....is it because bush sr was a complete deadbeat who will only be remembered for being bitchslapped for saying "NO NEW TAXES"...and then raising taxes?"
Yep blame Bush sr. He was the one who said no new taxes and then didn't veto the new taxes the DEMOCRATIC controlled Congress passed. ALL tax increases and decreases have to pass Congress before it goes to the President to sign or veto.
"explain how it skipped four years of bush sr...i need a good laugh"
It gives me a laugh to see you demonstrate your LACK of knowledge about how Government and the economy works.

I'm not a righty nor a lefty, but I can say Reagan was responsible for the prosperity in the 90s. His build up of new weapons forced the USSR into bankruptcy. The first President Bush used these weapons in the first Gulf war and impressed the nation. With the USSR gone and Americans at ease and feeling secure for the first time in decades, the economy prospered.
Although Clinton was not responsible for the growth, he presided over the ear of prosperity wisely by paying down the national debt and not expanding government with the excess tax revenue. Clinton was in no way responsible for any recession that followed. There was simply a natural market correction that occurred. The ultimate reason for the flattened growth for the past 5 years was 9/11. This event has completely unsettled the secure feeling of the nation, which was the driving force behind the 90s prosperity.
The economic policies of any President, Republican or Democrat have little effect on prosperity. It's the outlook of the future that investors and consumers have that really drives the economy.

The economic equipment the 1st 12-18 months of any presidency is the end results of the previous administration's paintings. Clinton got here in enjoying a surging economic equipment via Bush I's procedures, then he left in place all of Bush's economic human beings - rather exceptional at that element. The recession for the period of Bush II's first year became the end results of to many tax hikes decrease than the Clinton administration - which Bush II became in a position to tutor around even interior the face of the priority assaults. information: there is greater new homestead possession now, than at each time considering that WWII The Unemployment value is decrease than at each time decrease than Clinton's reign Retail sales have matched or handed predictions for the longest volume of time via fact the mid80s.

Clinton destroyed the economy, slashed the military, closed veteran's hospitals and nursing homes, drove the price of medical inurance through the roof, did nothing to repair the levys around New Orleans, and managed to set us up for 9-11. He did all this while managing to still find time to fool around with an ugly fat girl in the oval office. This last one should really help you understand just how stupid and pathetic Clinton really is. Just imagine you are the President of the United States, the most powerful country in the world. You are the leader of all the free world. You get a little horny, so what do you do? Now look up any picture of Monica Lewinsky. THAT is the BEST you can do? You do it in your office located in your home where your wife lives? HELLO!!!! For the love of GOD, at least Kennedy got Marilyn Monroe and cleaned it all up when he was through! How can ANYONE even begin to trust someone this stupid with the job of running the country? I'll never forget this moron Clinton on my television shaking his bent index finger at me while he said: "I did not have sex with that woman". Later of course when it was proven he was a liar he just says "Oral sex is not sex" What a loser! Come on all you liberals give me a thumbs down. Stand up for your boy again. He is the BIGGEST joke ever to hold office in this country. AND don't give me your nonsense about "At least he didn't take us to war" It is BECAUSE of him and his lack of attention that we were attacked and THAT is WHY we are at war!

Clinton did not take us into a recession that is all Dubyas doing
I am sick of the lies and the changing the format of info to cover for his dumb a** actions
He had the format revised backwards so now it looks like Reagans administration was a growth era, and it was not unprecedented!!
When Clinton took over the economy had already faltered- Bush Sr. killed the marginal growth he was given in the first two years in office

This is what I credit Clinton for and thank him from the bottom of my heart
1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers,
Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning,
Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick. Did I leave
anyone out?
2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral
sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a
little older to discuss it with him, but now he knows
more about it than I did as a senior in college.
3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment in
the work place (especially the White House) and on the
job is OK, and all you have to know is what the
meaning of "it" is. It really is great to know that
certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person may
have sex while the other one does NOT have sex.
4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of
impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating that
the ridiculous plot of the movie "Wag the Dog" could
be plausible after all.
5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent,
Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look honest,
Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John Kennedy look
moral.
6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses who
have pled the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who have
fled the country to avoid testifying about Democratic
campaign fund raising.
7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions, and 4
imprisonment's from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55
criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions (so far)
in the other " Clinton " scandals.
8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half,
"gutting" much of our foreign policy, and flying all
over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as
necessary trips.
9 Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of dollars
(I really didn't need it in the first place, and I
can't think of a more deserving group of recipients
for my hard-earned tax dollars) for all of your
globe-trotting. I understand you, the family and your
cronies have logged in more time aboard Air Force One
than any other administration.
10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks for
the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted
felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin
society. (Not to mention the scores you pardoned while
Governor of Arkansas)
