The difference between war and terrorism is the choice of targets and the methods used.
If we were fighting this war by the methods the terrorists used we would simply have slaughtered the civilian population using anything we could get out hands on with no warning.
You really don't want to know what we can get out hands on. We can wipe the Arabic countries clean of all life in short order if we decide to throw morality out the window.

The militarist mind takes shape in the language of history lessons from primary school upwards where the notion of justifiable and honorable murder is syringed into little innocent hearts though the worship of war shrines and war heroes.
The people responsible for leading the young astray in this not so subtle form of indoctrination are themselves unable to discern the difference between good and evil because their minds also have been conditioned by their peers and so on.
In my book DNA of SIn I clearly identify the source of erroneous thinking that for milleniums have reproduced the kind of social patterns we see repeating themselves ad infinitum throughout the torrid history of mankind.
The synopsis is that the source of our inspiration for building utopian empires cannot be more diabolical than the way we talk about weapons of mass destruction as being 'environment friendly'.
Brutality and murder are systemic from junior school upwards and God help all those academic wizards for leading generations of children into sin. Their fate is sealed.

Put it the other way round. Terrorism is a means of war that the poor and downtrodden can use.

Of course it is. Do you think we believe what the news tells us? We are smarter than that.
