We have caught 3 young ones in a trap, at $50.00 each. "Mom & Dad" are still under there & too smart for the trap. They are eating my garden & tunneling under my house!

They can be incredibly destructive. In my part of the country, most people shoot them. That is not always an option. You might need to hire the services of a "critter gitter" type of service. These people are licensed to live trap nuisance wildlife. They are required to use humane methods and release the animals in a less populated area. They are not terribly expensive and usually catch the animals very quickly. For the same money you spent on traps, you probably could have hired a specialist.

Good luck with your problem.

Try pouring amonia in several places under the deck (through the spaces between the deck boards, if possible or through small holes you can drill). You may have to do this 2 or 3 times over the course of a week. Amonia makes the area under the deck a bad place to reside and the animals will be forced to relocate.
