is 1 baby allowed 2 have 5 god mothers? i have 5 very close friends and cant decide which 2 to choose so is it wrong 2 have them all? also the father wants 3 god fathers.

I would say two, mother and father.

Traditionally a girl would have 2 godmothers and a god father and a boy would have 2 god fathers and a god mother. My son was christened last year he has 2 godmothers and 2 godfathers. You can have as many as you want

In my family if you have a girl you get 2 godmothers and 1 godfather and if you have a boy you get 2 godfathers and 1 godmother. Must be something to do with having more chances at moral guidance from your same sex godparent even though us girlies are better at handing out useful guidance.
If you follow this you'll have to start planning baby number 2 fairly soon!?!

my daughter has two god mothers and one god father my sons have two god fathers and one god mother its a personal choice but 5 seems a bit much to me choose a family member or your most trusted Friend

You can have as many as you like. When i was christened the whole church was given the responsibility of being god parents. The downside is the people dont take responsibility, my brother for example had two sets god parents and he gets prezzies and birthday cards till this day, he is now 29 and i never got a thing.

Well I do not think there is any rule or law that says you can only have a set amount. Traditionally it has been one of each sex and usually that pair has a connection to each other. The Role of the Godparents is to raise the child if anything happened to the parents..but these days that can also be laid out according to the parents wishes in there will.
I think the idea of Honorary Godparent is what you are thinking of...
