this month my period was a few days late and i had all the symptoms of being pregnant (swollen breasts, nausea, headaches). then i started bleeding. i had bad cramping and back pain for almost 2 days. the bleeding subsided a bit after the first day... but within the first day i must have lost about 1cup of blood or more (hard to tell- but there was A LOT) . i could have sworn i was pregnant (i have 2 other children and know the symptoms pretty well) and was waiting for my period to be a week late before i tested..... is it possible i had a miscarriage before even knowing i was pregnant?

Statistics say that over half of pregnancies end in miscarriage because they don't "take." You could have had one, and I agree with one of the other ladies, a woman intuition is almost always a fool proof test. I wish you the best and good luck!

Most women think they have a heavy period when they probably had a miscarriage.
Miscarriage that early happened to me. My HCG levels were 20 then it went to 42 then it dropped back down to 5. Then I started bleeding and getting cramps. I was pregnant for like 2- 3 weeks. i had all my symptoms early too. Next time go see you doctor and order an hcg test. Thats the best way to find out.

I read somewhere that women have miscarriages often without even realizing it, before two months of pregnancy.

You sound like you had one at about two months pregnant though. I didn't do it when this happened to me, and I bled for over a month, but you should go see a doctor or even go to the ER if you don't have the money. They have to help somehow, even if it means sending you the bill later. They'll give a D& C if they determine you were pregnant.

If you are still bleeding, then go.

When i had a miscarriage at 5weeks the doctor told me that lots of women have miscarriages and think that its just a heavy period so this is very possible, u have children though and i say theres nothing stronger than a womans intuition i think deep down you know the answer xxx

It IS possible. Definitely have your Dr check you out and see, because he/she would need to go in and "clean some stuff out", if you will. I hear that it's common for women to miscarriage and think they're period is heavy. You could be right, but I hope not! That's heartbreaking, I've been there. Good luck honey!

for one .. go to the doctor they could do a quantative HCG test .. second i had a miscarriage and it was so painful.. there were little chunks of veiny purple skin that came out of me.. i even saw the little sac the baby was in. you would know if it was a miscarriage or not. i hope it wasn't.. this was a painful experience.. it sucks for anyone to go through.
