I read a biography on Benjamin Franklin by Edmund S. Morgan. It mentioned that Franklin's grandson went to school in Geneva. I know it's not Genava, Illinois because that land had even been founded yet, at that time. I was just wondering " where is geneva? "

It's in Switzerland, near the northwestern corner of that country, right across from the border with France (so close that people live in France and commute to Geneva). Geneve in French.

Switzerland (and France) are in western Europe.
